Artisan Jeweler Mark Nelson, of Estes Park is originally from upstate NY.

Mark has a long history of entrepreneurism, and lifelong learning. He is a Master Electrician and founded an electrical contracting business, a manufacturing business holding patents. He is a pilot and serves with a non-profit ministry as a consultant.

 

Having traveled globally with the non-profit for many years and collecting rocks from everywhere, his rock and gem collection is vast. As he started turning these rocks into jewelry, his jewelry skills have evolved into silversmithing and stonework that includes faceting. He has an in-home studio and showroom with an inspiring view.

His work has been juried at several shows in Fort Collins, and has sold locally, nationally and internationally. His jewelry is a mix of rough stones from places with meaning such as the Holy Land, semi-precious and precious gemstones all set in sterling silver.
