“Painting Aspen”
with Jenifer Cline
This two-day workshop is designed for oil painters at all levels of experience. Jenifer is a well-known, award-winning artist whose studio is in Loveland. She is drawn to color and texture, emotions, and the challenge of light, and loves to explore how color and light create shape and depth in a painting. Plein Air work is her favorite focus as it allows the artist to portray the immediacy of the moment.
Here is how she describes this workshop: “What is it about aspens that draw so many artists to paint them? We will explore the forms of the trees and their canopies in terms of value relationships, color; including local tone, highlights and reflected colors, along with different styles of representation. An intriguing element of painting aspen trees is the compositional choices which challenge us from painting a single tree to the representation of an entire grove. All levels of experience are welcome.” Materials List: Provided
