I am a self taught artist who works mainly in the medium of acrylics and oils for my images. Recently I have been experimenting with sandstone by cutting out shapes and using them in my art pieces.
The need and desire to create art has been a life long pursuit for me. My childhood was spent growing up on a farm in Fort Collins, Colorado. I was always around animals and loved drawing, so it was only natural that I should start drawing the scenes of the farm.
While attending Colorado State University, I met my future husband Jim. After marriage my art was put on hold while I managed a career and family. After retiring to Estes Park, Colorado in 1990, I once again started dabbling in the arts. Most of my ideas come from observing wildlife outside of my studio window. And living close to Rocky Mountain National Park has motivated me in painting more wildlife intertwined with Native American Images.
Most of my art is recognized by my designs portraying animals in a southwest fantasy theme. My artwork has been in invitational exhibitions throughout the United States with representation in galleries throughout the area.
