Charlie Smith When Henry's dream of starting a
woodcrafting business became a reality, Charlie, who had been a wife, mother
and homemaker for over 30 years, went to work as a Personal Care Provider in
order to support the new business. In 2005, she retired in order to devote
more time to it. Adding the Decorative Touch After going full-time with
the woodcrafting business, Charlie took over the jobs of cutting and
pressing the veneers that give character to each lid, and creating the
decorative intarsia that is often added as an adornment to the boxes. She
also constructs the velvet linings, necklace pouches and ring holders that
go into the interior of the boxes, and helps with the final sanding, oiling
and spraying. |
