Philosophy

Painting is a delightful experience for me. Although painting can be a grand challenge at times, the excitement of the challenge motivates me. The majority of my work to date has been in watercolor. Watercolor bets a spontaneity and fluidity, and lends itself to beautiful bright colors. Since moving to Estes Park in 2000, I have been painting 'en plein air'. It has helped me to observe the world in many unexpected ways and allows me to become more fully in touch with my own aliveness. Recently l have begun to explore painting in oil. I have been very lucky to have passionate and soulful instructors.
