The Art Center would like to invite you to participate in our 13th annual Art Market.  The Estes Park Art Market is an annual show that is held Memorial Day weekend in Bond Park, located in the center of downtown Estes Park, CO. This popular, summer kick-off event is well-attended and has a reputation for offering high quality fine arts and crafts.  The Art Center of Estes Park strives to maintain this reputation through its anonymous jurying process with the objective to select artwork that is unique, representative of a broad range of media, and that demonstrates both creativity and technical excellence, resulting in a diverse yet balanced show.  

Art Market Calendar  
March 6 – Deadline for completed application to be postmarked.  Application, associated documents, images/photos of work and all fees to be mailed must be postmarked no later than this date.  Online applications must be received by midnight, March 6th.   

 April 3 – Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance.  Unless otherwise requested, all notifications will be sent via email.  (Please add artmarket@artcenterofestes.com to your address book to insure that you receive email from the organization.)  Otherwise notifications will be mailed (postmarked) no later than this date.  If you prefer to have your notification mailed please provide a self-addressed, stamped envelope for this purpose.   

April 30th – Deadline for receipt of written notification of cancellation/withdrawal in order to receive full refund of booth fees.  

May 25 - Check in and set up from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM.  Early set up is not available, no exceptions.
May 26 - Check in from 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM.  Show hours 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
May 27 - Show hours 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
May 28 - Show hours 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM.  No breakdown until after 4:00 PM Monday, no exceptions.    

Artwork Policies
Only the juried type of work of the accepted artist can be displayed and sold at the artist’s booth.  Artwork must be original in design, concept and execution, demonstrating originality, creativity and exceptional quality.  Artists are encouraged to display originals but reproductions, such as giclees, are allowed if labeled as such.  Manufactured, imported or mass produced items, those made from kits or molds, silk-screened clothing or T-shirts are not acceptable work for this show.    

Booth and Show Details

• Booth spaces are 10 x 10
• Tents, weights, tie downs, tables, displays, props, fixtures, extension cords and any other items necessary for the booth and display are to be provided by the exhibitor.
• Show layout - The Town of Estes Park will be continuing their Master Plan redesign of Bond Park in the Winter & Spring of 2012. This is a multi-year project and due to these circumstances we are unable to predict the exact layout of the show.  The best information we have as of press time is that the show may be a mixture of street and park locations. Our primary concern is that you have a good show and we will strive to keep booth placement and pedestrian traffic flow at an optimum level in order to achieve that goal.  Booth assignments will be handed out at check-in.
• A limited number of premium booth spots are available for an additional charge and will be awarded on a first come, first served basis. 
• Electricity is available on a limited basis for an additional fee and will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.  One electricity fee is sufficient for double booths.    

Submission of Entries
Please provide three high-quality digital images of your work and one additional digital image of your booth display in jpeg format – no photos or slides.  Provide a brief description of the work in each photo including medium/media, artistic process and price.  Images may be uploaded along with applications if applying online.  If applying by mail please provide images and related information on a CD.  CDs will not be returned.  If accepted into the event, images provided by the artist and/or photographs of the artist, their associates, and their artwork, taken by the Art Center of Estes Park or their designees, may be used for Art Market and Art Center publicity both now and in the future.   

Applications submitted late (after Mar 6, 2012) must include the non-refundable application and late fees to be considered for entry into the show.

$ 25    Non-refundable application/jury fee
$ 275    Standard booth fee – includes fees required by the Town of Estes Park
$ 325    Premium booth fee – limited availability,             awarded first come, first served.  
$ 25    Electrical connection – limited availability, awarded first come, first served.  
$ 75    Late fee – applies to any application postmarked or on-line after March 6th, 2012   ·        

• Fees may be paid by check or online via PayPal.  Payment must be submitted at the time of application.    ·        
• If paying by check, please provide a separate check for the $ 25 application/jury fee which will be deposited and/or charged upon receipt.  If applying after March 6th, include the $ 75 late fee with the application fee.  Checks for other fees will not be deposited until and unless the artist is accepted into the show.  If payment is made via PayPal, fees other than the non-refundable application/jury and late fees will be refunded if the artist is not accepted into the show.   ·        
• A $20 fee will be assessed for returned checks.   ·        
• All income is retained by the artist; no commission is paid to the Art Center of Estes Park.   ·        
• Sales taxes must be remitted, by each participating artist, to the state of Colorado.  A form with instructions and deadline will be provided to exhibitors with their acceptance materials.  Or you may obtain information at www.taxcolorado.com, where you may also apply for a sales tax license or special permit if needed.
